Welcome to a weekend of two-wheeled excellence at one of the most iconic tracks in the world. Below is everything you need to know before your tires touch the tarmac.
There are 2 waivers:
Please be advised there are several garages marked for "Staging" COTA has advised there is construction which will limit the parking directly in front of the garages.
The staging garages can be used by those who did not get a garage before and after your session for staying out of the Sun before getting called to the Grid and afterwards for cool down and any recap with a Mentor. See the updated paddock map below.
We apologize for the inconvenience. If you wish to add a garage to your order please e-mail support@trackrabbit.com and request a garage add on.
Each group runs five sessions, plus the optional CMRA mock race at the end.
The most dangerous part of the day is entering and exiting the track. There will be a mandatory focus on this during the first session.
When you enter the track hand signal as you are getting on. The Blue Line shows the possible path of riders who are already on the track.
The photo below shows the How to Enter COTA.
Green Line - Take the green line to enter COTA, stay to the left of the WHITE Blend Line.
Do Not Cross the Blend Line - This will result in a Black Flag
Turn 18 is where you will signal to exit the track. Repeat the hand signal "like a blinker". Stay to the left of the track once you begin to signal and hug Turn 19 and stay to the left to exit the track.
We have created a comprehensive GUIDE for all riders attending our events, this guide covers important information please read ahead.
Garages will be assigned before the event and information available on these Link
We have just 3 Golden Rules β these will be reviewed in the riders meeting. Be ready to answer them out loud:
Aggressive riding gets ONE warning. Second offense = ejection without refund.
Passing Videos:
COTA prohibits helmet mounted cameras. COTA will black flag any rider with a helmet mounted camera and the rider will have to pit in and remove it.
Cameras mounted to the bike are required to be tethered. With GoPro cameras best practice is to tether the case. The camera shown below shows the most common point of failure with GoPro camera mounts. If the mount fails and the case is not properly tethered the camera will be lost.
Searching for lost cameras is at the discretion of COTA officials at the end of the day.
BendalltheRules Media will be shooting trackside exclusively for this round of 316 Superbike Camp. We will be out for all sessions.
The main photographers are Sam Bendall and Jason Farias. Both have extensive motorsport photography experience and have shot at Circuit of the Americas for various clients and race series including MotoGP, Formula 1, HDPE, and more.
Pre-Order Trackside Photography Package - Pre-Orders Expire on 8/9.
Pre-Order clients will receive a VIP sticker to be affixed to the front of their motorcycle for sorting in a private gallery. Please see Sam at the beginning of the day to check in.
We will have a gallery for everyone else who can purchase photos a la carte after the event.
