3:16 Superbike Camp Minimum Requirements

At 3:16 Superbike Camp, we prioritize safety and optimal track day experiences, which is why we have set minimum requirements for both rider gear and motorcycle equipment. To ensure a secure and enjoyable environment, all riders must adhere to these guidelines. Your safety is our top priority, and meeting these requirements is essential for participating in our thrilling events. From full-face motorcycle helmets meeting specific certifications to proper motorcycle gear and well-maintained bikes, we strive to maintain the highest standards.

Additionally, our program is designed for experienced riders with a minimum of 10,000 miles of career riding experience, ensuring a dynamic and skillful atmosphere on the track. Whether you belong to the Love to Ride Group or the Respect The Craft Group, following our "Golden Rules" is key to creating an unforgettable and rewarding track day journey.

To ensure the utmost safety during our track day events, we have established minimum requirements for rider gear. Please review the following guidelines:
  • Full Face Motorcycle Helmet: Your helmet must be in good condition, free from visible damage that could compromise its integrity. It is mandatory for helmets to be SNELL/ECE Certified and less than five years old.
  • Full Body Motorcycle Suit: For participants in the "Respect the Craft" group, a one-piece suit is required. However, riders in the "Love to Ride" group may wear a two-piece suit that zips together. Please ensure that CE Armor is present inside the suit.
  • Zip Together Textile Suits: For "Intro" days, riders have the option of wearing zip-together textile suits, mesh suits, or leather suits that can be zipped together.
  • Back Protector: It is mandatory to wear a back protector. If you need assistance in finding a suitable back protector at a fair price, please don't hesitate to contact us.
  • Motorcycle Gauntlet Race Gloves: Ensure you have proper motorcycle gauntlet race gloves to protect your hands during the track day.
  • Motorcycle Boots: Wear boots that cover the ankle area, avoiding cowboy boots or work boots.
  • Helmet Chin Straps: Please note that quick-release chin straps are not allowed on helmets.
  • GoPro Mounting: While adhesive-mounted GoPro cameras are not permitted on helmets, systems that securely clamp onto helmets are acceptable.
Your safety is of paramount importance to us, and complying with these gear requirements will contribute to a secure and enjoyable track day experience.
To ensure a smooth and safe track day experience, we have set minimum equipment requirements for your motorcycle. Please review the following guidelines:
  • Motorcycle Condition: Your motorcycle must be in good working condition, free from visible or obvious loose parts.
  • Throttle: The throttle must snap back to its original position by itself, ensuring smooth operation during the track day.
  • Lights, Reflectors, and Mirrors: Tape off all lights, reflectors, and mirrors to prevent them from causing distractions or potential hazards on the track.
  • Tire Tread: The tire tread must not be past the wear markers and is subject to approval by 3:16 Trackdays for your safety.
  • Fairings: Ensure that all fairings are securely fastened, with no loose or dangling parts.
  • Coolant: We do not recommend the use of "Anti-Freeze" due to its glycol content, which can make the track surface slippery. We suggest changing to Water Wetter or Engine Ice for the safety of all participants.
  • Chain Tension: Maintain proper chain tension with some slack, ensuring it does not come off the sprockets. Avoid having the chain too tight as well.
  • GoPro's and Action Cameras: If using GoPro or action cameras, they must be securely tethered to your motorcycle.
  • Oil Filter and Cap: Ensure the oil filter and cap are tightly secured. While safety wiring is preferred, it is not mandatory.
  • Motorcycle Type: Please note that this program is not ideal or intended for large touring or cruiser machines.
  • Machine Size Restriction: Machines with less than 250cc are not allowed in the "Respect the Craft" group. Riders on 250cc and 300cc machines will be observed, and if the pace is deemed too slow, we may move you to the "Love to Ride" group.
Adhering to these equipment requirements will contribute to a safe and enjoyable track day experience for all participants.
At 3:16 Superbike Camp, our program is designed for experienced riders who have accumulated a minimum of 10,000 miles of career riding experience. It's important to note that this is not a school and does not provide instruction for street riding. However, our dedicated race mentors are available to share their experience, help you get comfortable on the track, and even provide insights into racing techniques.
  • Love To Ride Group: This group is open to riders ranging from beginner to medium-intermediate skill levels. While it is an excellent choice for beginners, riders of all experience levels are welcome as long as they adhere to our "Golden Rules." Whether you are new to track riding or an experienced rider looking for an enjoyable ride, the Love To Ride Group provides a great opportunity.
  • Respect The Craft Group: Designed for intermediate to advanced riders, the Respect The Craft Group is specifically tailored for experienced track day participants aiming to enhance their skills in every aspect. Similar to the Love To Ride Group, this group also follows our "Golden Rules," fostering a safe and respectful environment.
Please note that riders who fail to comply with the "Golden Rules" will be given a warning, and repeated violations may result in being sent home without a refund. We prioritize the safety and enjoyment of all participants, and adherence to these rules is crucial in maintaining a positive track day experience.

We invite you to join us at 3:16 Superbike Camp, where experienced riders come together to share their passion for riding and embrace the exhilaration of the track.
